Mckinley performed in the ballet Copelia last weekend and it was so much fun to see her cute little dance. She worked so hard to get everything right and did a wonderful job. We are so proud of her. The first night, she didn't get to see any of the rest of the ballet because she was backstage. The second night, however, she got to watch some of the big girls dance and see some of the story of copelia play out. I think it was a really fun experience for her. Great Job Kinley!

Double Trouble

One day, as I was holding Rome, giving him a bottle, Mckinley came and sat by me and asked if she could hold Rome. So I let her. A few minutes later, Dolce came and saw that Mckinley was holding her brother, so she wanted to hold him too. As we were getting her ready to hold him, she got a better idea and decided that she wanted to be the one being held. By Mckinley.
These 2 babies are doing everything together these days. Dolce has even tried to help Rome climb the stairs which has resulted in, you guessed it, him tumbling down the stairs. In these pictures, they are standing at the window pounding on it because a little family of birds that we have been feeding all winter lives in the bush on the other side of the window. (Poor traumatized birds. )

Make up girl

Dolce has become a very girly girl in the past little while. She absolutely loves lipstick, some days she might even pick lipstick over chocolate. That's a big deal. she also loves having eyeshadow put on and she is now beginning to create her own makeup line. What she is demonstrating in this picture is smearing a peep all over her cheeks. Lovely, isn't it.

Easter!

We had such a fun Easter this year. It was nice and warm which allowed for a few outdoor activities. Mckinley also was on her spring break and so it was fun to have her home with Dolly and Rome and I for a few days of fun. Before coloring eggs a few days before the big day, Mckinley and Dolce went outside to cut their own easter grass. I was so proud of their creativity. They even put pinecones in their baskets to keep the eggs company.
The Easter Bunny made an early stop at Grandma and Grandpa Jacksons house on Saturday. The kids went over for a very fun easter egg hunt around the yard. This, of course was the highlight of easter for them. They loved finding all the little treats and surprises. Even Rome couldn't believe his eyes when he saw treats hiding in the grass.
This year, I made Easter dresses for Mckinley and Dolce. I didn't budget for dresses and so I made these dresses out of a sheet. I'm pretty happy about how they turned out. Dolces ended up being a little bit short but still looks cute with little diaper undees covering her diaper underneath. I bought the hair fascinators for a vintage feel. I also made Rome a bow tie but he had spit up on it before we made it to the picture.
We had a nice day at church, and it was so nice to be able to have the day to remember our savior and the beauty of the gospel. Happy Easter!
