The other night we decided to do a "Girls Night Out" because I have been sensing that Mckinley sometimes feels a little out of place now that she has a baby sister. Sadly, we aren't always as attentive to her as we were when she was the one and only princess in the house. She is being such a good big sister. We have felt really lucky that she hasn't really created much difficulty in adjusting to two kids. She hasn't seemed very jealous, but we have noticed that the baby needs a lot of attention, and we wanted to remind Mckinley that she is just as important by doing something with her that we knew she would enjoy. So we ordered Pizza, "roni," as she calls it. We got some of her favorite treats, and a redbox. We also made little beds on the floor and camped out to watch "Cloudy, with a chance of meatballs." She had such a fun time. We even had Daddy get in touch with his feminine side and join us for the last half of the movie.

I love the picture of Dolce looking at the treats. We have shamelessly given her a taste or two of chocolate, and now she recognizes the sound of wrappers. I know. I'm afraid she couldn't be my child if she didn't have a genetic predisposition to love of chocolate.

Girls Night was a success! Maybe we will make it a monthly party!

That's adorable and your girls are so cute! We do a "family" movie night every Friday night since it's the only day I work and I don't want to cook. We eat pizza and watch a movie camped out with blankets and sleeping bags. We've only been doing it for about 4 or 5 months, but the kids really look forward to it!! You are a great Mom and I can tell your girls adore you! :)
